Green Living at Corona Pointe Resort and Townhomes

Without realizing it, the average person wastes about 30 gallons of water a day . This wasted water can be from showering too long, flushing the toilet too often, washing dishes inefficiently, or watering the lawn unnecessarily. And many people are careless with more than just water; they often waste paper, plastic, and electricity, too.

At Corona Pointe Resort and Townhomes , we care about green living and strive to do what we can to take care of the environment. We promote green living by saving water, going without paper and plastic, and recycling.

Water

Since Riverside is prone to droughts, we use water sparingly. To start, we have drought-tolerant landscaping, meaning that we have plants that don’t require much water, and we’ve replaced some grassy areas with beautiful stone instead. We have also installed a drip irrigation system that waters plants much more efficiently than sprinklers.

We also save water with our indoor plumbing. While toilets generally use about 3.5 gallons of water every time they flush, we have low-flow toilets . These use about 20 percent less water than regular toilets and save up to 13,000 gallons of water per year.

Paper and Plastic

At Corona Pointe, we go paper-free by doing everything online—rent payments, applications, service requests, and more. This is more convenient for our residents and also eliminates the need for unnecessary paper waste. In addition, we have a water bottle filling station on the property, significantly reducing the waste from plastic water bottles.

In our community, we strive to provide quality services to help make your life as a resident a little easier. Visit our new resident portal to pay your rent online, enter a maintenance service request, browse our calendar for upcoming activities, and much more!

Recycling

Finally, we care about recycling. We use recycling bins in our office, and we encourage residents to recycle as well. Items you can recycle include plastic bottles and containers, empty cans, paper, and flattened cardboard. Here in Riverside, you can take your recycling to AAA Recycling . However, you cannot recycle food, liquid, plastic bags, plastic wrap, or cups with wax or plastic coating. This small change in habit can make a big difference for our planet.

We’re Excited to Announce Organic Waste Recycling!

Organic waste recycling will be coming soon to our local community, and we can’t wait to participate! This initiative will help keep millions of pounds of food waste out of landfills and turn them into compost and renewable natural gas. We’ll keep you up to date as this program expands throughout the state.

We want to do everything we can to encourage green living. If you are looking for a new home that cares as much about green living as you do, consider Corona Pointe Resort and Townhomes!
